FSB means artificial fly, spinner, and bait. Note 1 also says Taranaki has no restrictions on fishing hours, no minimum length for trout, no defined coarse-fishing waters, and bait-fish source restrictions.
On 5 August 2026, the downstream row remains all year, while the 2025/26 upper mainstem row that ran to 30 June 2026 has ended. Reopen the current Fish & Game source before planning the next upper-season trip.
